Rubber Wristbands Are Excellent Fundraisers for School Groups

Rubber Wristbands Are Excellent Fundraisers for School Groups by Andrew

As school budgets have become ever more stretched in recent years, bands, sports teams, drama clubs and other school activities have looked for new ways to raise money. One increasingly successful fundraising method has been the sale of custom Rubber Wristbands. Band boosters and others have learned to sell rubber wristbands to raise money for uniforms, needed equipment, trips and many other needs.
The secret to the success of rubber wristbands is the fact that they are extremely inexpensive to produce. Made from 100% medical-grade silicone, rubber wristbands are easy to sell. Even if they're only a dollar or so each, the profits can really add up fast. The wristbands can be customized with a school spirit message that helps create a sense of togetherness for students, faculty and parents alike.
Rubber wristbands are a popular fashion accessory among students at all grade levels. Just about any student who wants one can afford a wristband, something that promotes group acceptance and a sense of belonging. The sight of a vast number of wristbands in the hallways supports school spirit throughout the day. The rubber wristbands can be customized with school names, logos and mascots, or even something specific to a particular club, activity or team. Sizes are available for both children and adults, leaving plenty of room for just about anyone.
Compared to many other fundraising methods, rubber wristbands enable school groups to turn a large profit quickly. A thousand rubber wristbands can cost as little as 19 cents each, or $190 to order. If a group sells them for $1 each, that's a quick profit of $810. And as the quantity ordered goes up, the price per wristband goes down. People naturally want to support their school organizations, and buying a wristband is an easy way to do so.
The classic debossed rubber wristband is the basic wristband just like the Lance Armstrong "Livestrong" band that kicked off the worldwide rubber wristband pop culture phenomenon. The debossed band features lettering pressed directly into the silicone, giving a clean, uncluttered look with the letters below the band's surface. Debossed painted rubber wristbands fill in the lettering with colors, making the message highly visible, a dramatic visual image. Embossed bands reverse the debossing process and raise the lettering from the rubber wristband.
Silk screened wristbands print the message right onto the flat surface of the rubber wristbands. This allows more detail and smaller text, but won't be as durable as the embossed or debossed bands. The rubber wristband itself can be made in a choice of many colors. Swirled bands offer a fun look, blending colors into a one of a kind mix. Segmented wristbands offer team colors, such as American University's red and blue, on one band.
Schools can even sell rubber wristbands to raise money for worthy causes outside school. One school district in January 2010 raised nearly $5,000 for Haitian earthquake relief through the sale of rubber wristbands to students, faculty, staff and parents.
All things considered, it's hard to go wrong with rubber wristbands for school fundraising. Popular, inexpensive to order and sell, and easy to wear, they raise cash fast to give school groups solid support.

The Secret Of A Fundraising Idea

The Secret Of A Fundraising Idea by Silvia Evanoff

The secret of fundraising idea is not all about how the idea was prepared and conceptualized. Well, though this is important but still, it is based on the ability of the leader and of the members to perform for the organization.
One's ability is not all about the mental skill of the person to take responsibility of the fundraising idea but as well as his natural talent to handle his self and others as well. For example, it as well involves the emotional factor of the leader; like how he interacts with his people. We are looking for a leader who has the quality and the power to understand and manage the organization in all its important aspects. To supervise an organization is not an easy task; it deals with being able to manage and cope with issues with all its complexities. It is basic for someone to be independent most especially in decision making; not literally making decisions without consent from the top management but become individually liable for his own actions. In no matter what position you are in, being able to lead a group from different backgrounds and having different personalities takes a lot of effort and indeed, ability. Not everyone can communicate well with people, much as have charisma. Communication is important as it is the key to delivering tasks properly. This kind of ability takes effort and careful study because you cannot just immediately be someone you are really not. Being able to be appealing to a person or a crowd, needs understanding of one's personality. Another secret is the ability to settle conflicts, as still related to someone's communication skills. This is basically very important in a company because an organization will always have conflicts no matter how small it may be. Problems are the company's learning recipe. One cannot learn without making mistakes; not that mistakes are acceptable in the organization or that one can make mistakes but it just means that one can never learn without ever knowing it was wrong. And as the leader or even just the member, being able to resolve problems is one great advantage for the organization. This kind of ability and the aforesaid are important abilities an organization should find in someone whom they wish to hire and have in the organization. It is the kind of members an organization will surely want for it just reflects one's readiness and maturity to be in the business world. It would be impressive for everyone to be willingly able to find excellence in their own and always trying to find ways of improvement in themselves as a starting point to not only help the organization but their own reputation.
This kind of secret starts basically with the kind of leader an organization has; a leader who can influence and educate everyone in the importance of continuously seeking for improvement and perfection in their performances. This is the secret; not all about the ideas, but what kind of people the organization is made of - the ability of each one, in short.
